Rwenzori Mountains Cultural and Nature Tour for 4 days
During this hiking tour, you will enjoy the scenic view of Mubuku River, cultural and village walk before returning to the starting point for your departure back to Kampala.

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park
Leave Kampala or Kigali in the morning for Rwenzori Mountains National Park found in south Western Uganda. You will have lunch enroute and stay at one of the lodge in Rwenzori National Park or hotels in Kasese town. Overnight at Ruboni Camp or Rwenzori Mountains Safari Lodge (Full Board)
Day 2: Ruboni Hill Nature Walk
Depart early at sunrise to climb up Ruboni Hill. You will enjoy beautiful sights of the River Mubuku, Mount Baker and Portal Peaks as you go up. Getting to the highest point of the 2300 meter hill, you will be pleased with a panoramic observation of the Mountains of the Moon and the magnificent snow-capped Margherita Peak. Go back to the accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Cultural Hike or Village Walk
Having taken an early breakfast, leave for the Bulemba – Ihandiro Cultural Trail for exciting views and an examination of the Bakonzo traditional culture. This walk that lasts between 6 to 7 hours to a pinnacle of a cultural museum goes through the “Bat Valley”, a sacred place for the Bakonzo and runs through River Kamusonge. As part of the tour, a visit to the traditional doctor who clarifies how he uses his powers (Muhima) to treat the sick.
Alternatively, you may choose to tour the adjacent villages of Ruboni or Mihunga for a cultural tour including local troupe shows and buying local crafts. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 4: Drive Back to Kampala
In the morning, have breakfast and proceed to Kampala where you will arrive in the evening.
